Fixing Common Rubber Threshold Ramp Issues

When it comes to threshold rubber ramps, we at Ramp Champ take all concerns from our valued customers seriously. We understand that finding effective solutions to these issues is imperative for our customer’s comfort and safety.

Below, we address some common concerns and offer solutions to ensure the longevity and performance of our threshold ramps.

Issue 1: Slippery Ramps

Some customers have reported that their ramps can become slippery, despite attempts to clean them with detergent. The perceived residual slipperiness often arises from mould residue remaining from the manufacturing process, which can make the ramps less secure.

Our Solution:

To adequately remove any residual dirt or stains that can cause slipperiness, we recommend a simple, yet effective, cleaning solution.

  • Mix warm water with dish soap and a small amount of vinegar, which can break down and remove the production-related residue without harming the rubber material.
  • After applying the solution, rinse down the ramp thoroughly with fresh water. This process should effectively remove any manufacturing products and restore the ramp's non-slip quality.

Issue 2: Ramp Edges Crumbling

Another issue, albeit less common, pertains to the edges of the ramps crumbling over time. The integrity of the ramp edge is essential for its function and overall durability.

Our Solution:

Our ramps are manufactured using the highest grade of rubber, amalgamated with glue. The quality of the rubber significantly contributes to the performance and durability of the product. We ensure the use of the smallest possible granule size for commercial ramps, thereby achieving a denser form and increasing product longevity.

We acknowledge that occasional production inconsistencies, such as the rubber slipping through, could lead to crumbling edges. However, this situation is rare and not representative of our regular production standard.

Note that proper maintenance and cleaning of your ramp per our guidelines will ensure its optimum performance and extend its lifespan.

In conclusion, we endeavour to continually improve and enhance our products based on our customers' feedback.
