HELPING RAISE MONEY FOR OUR FRIENDS AT D2DR

A short time ago the team here at Ramp Champ was invited to help support the Queensland-based group 'Dachshund Playgroup Sunshine Coast' at their annual fundraising event that raises money for Devoted 2 Dachshunds Rescue or better known as D2DR.

Of course, we leapt at the opportunity to help out to such a wonderful cause by donating one of the Travelling Pooch Ezy-Ramp Pet Ramps for the lucky winner of the events door prize.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it on the day of the event but after speaking to Julia Whale, the group's organiser, she said that the Christmas party was great with a turnout of about 75 people and their dachshunds! (Or is it 75 dachshunds and their people? - I'm sure dachshund owner will agree!)

The group all got together for a day of fun games and competitions such as “best dressed” and “longest and “smallest dog” for their beautiful furry friends. This year they also held a small and canine friendly dachshund race, too.

After the fun and games were done the lucky door prize raffle was held and won by Sunshine Coast local - Bruce Pilat and his daxie “Cosmo”.

Well done Bruce and Cosmo!

If you're in the Sunshine Coast area we highly recommend you get in touch with Julia and the other Dachshund Playgroup Sunshine Coast members by visiting their Facebook Group to see what they're up to next.

We also urge you to check out Devoted 2 Dachshund Rescue (D2DR), a locally based not for profit charity who focuses on the rescue and rehoming of dachshunds. D2DR NEVER turn away a dog regardless of age, temperament or health issues sometimes at quite a cost involving; ongoing behaviour therapy and training, veterinary procedures and surgical operations which is why they need as much help as they can get.
